Charlie's First Day!

Today was Charlie's turn to start school - hard to believe he's in kindergarten!

Max's First Day of School

Max had a great first day of school! Lucy was sad to see him go but at least Charlie was here to play with her today.

More Playground Fun

We went back to the National Park and checked out a few other playgrounds there - it's a beautiful park with nice walking trails and the playgrounds have some neat climbing equipment for the boys.

Vegetable Market

We drove past an open market on the way to the National Park on Sunday. It's amazing how much can be carried on your head! We also watched men drive by on their motorcycles holding live chickens or with a goat on their lap.

Fun at the National Park

Yesterday we visited the Parc National du Mali which is right next to the National Museum. It's a beautiful park and the kids loved the playground.

Evening walks

Charlie and Max have enjoyed taking pictures during our evening walks around the neighborhood Quinzambougou where we're staying so here are a few of the less blurry ones ...

Griswalds arrive in Mali

It's hard to believe we've already been here a week. We've visited the boys' classrooms and started to explore the city, as we look for a house to rent. And of course, daily swimming at the hotel pool.
